Privacy at Clipcade

Clipcade only starts analytics after you choose “Allow analytics.” If you decline or do nothing, neither PostHog nor Google Analytics is loaded.

What we measure

Events tied to an anonymous browser identifier, such as opening a project, starting a playable, following a creator link, applying a filter, saving, voting, or completing a submission. Page locations contain the path only, never query strings.

What we do not send

Search text, form contents, email addresses, creator messages, prompts, free-form notes, full URLs, or advertising identifiers. Session recording and automatic interaction capture are disabled. PostHog person profiles are disabled. With consent, PostHog stores an anonymous browser ID in local storage and Google Analytics uses first-party analytics cookies, so repeat visits can be counted as the same browser. Clearing storage or using another browser counts separately.

Separate functional storage

Voting and public play counts use a separate first-party cookie to prevent repeat votes and repeated play launches. Public counts record launches, not verified gameplay, and work independently of optional analytics. A browser can add one play per project every 30 minutes. Play deduplication keys expire after that window; aggregate totals remain. This functional storage is not used for advertising.
